CSPA Volunteer Opportunities that Support California State Parks
The Coastside State Parks Association depends on volunteers for everything we do. While docents and volunteers are always needed for interpretive programs and habitat restoration projects in the state parks, CSPA has some critical volunteer needs, too. CSPA volunteers help us raise funds and public awareness for our San Mateo coast state parks.
CSPA volunteers are currently needed for the following activities:
Community Outreach Volunteer
Community Outreach Volunteers are needed to staff informational tables at community fairs and farmer’s markets. Two volunteers are needed to answer questions, distribute State Parks maps and brochures, and event flyers. Training is provided. For more information, contact us at info@CoastsideStateParks.org.
Special Events Committee
During the year, CSPA hosts member events, as well as educational and fundraising events, such as Seal Adventures. We also partner with State Parks and other nonprofit organizations to support their educational activities and events. We are forming a new committee to help plan and implement events. Special Events Committee members will focus on all aspects of an event from planning the educational activities, displays and promotion to providing refreshments.
